Systems Inspection and Testing
- Inspection of cables, to verify damages adequacy of tagging, terminations, color identifications, radius of bend, suitability of cable supports, conduits and cable trays
- Resistance verification of earth continuity conductors, bonding of metal works.
- Testing of ELCB/RCD tripping on accessible areas of the electrical system.
- Measurement of current on main circuits to verify phase balancing.
- Insulation resistance measurements of cables will be verified based on the ability to disconnect the cables.
- Visual inspection of switch gear, distribution boards, and panel boards to verify identification, termination, clearance, and creeping distance.
Checking for any physical damages, improper connections or loose parts.
Functional testing of each component in the panel board, such as switches, relays, breakers, and meters.
Verification that the electrical panel board meets the local and national electrical codes and regulations.
Verify Power factor correction units and voltage stabilizer operation and
accordance to design specifications. - Assessment of the suitability of cable sizes used.
- Verification of suitability of protection devices of individual circuits.
- Verification of continuity of earth conductors, earth termination of sockets, lighting points and equipment
- Electrical Earth electrode resistance measurement against code requirement of individual earth pits.
- Verification of availability and suitability of earth leakage current protection and residual current protection devices for socket outlets
- Loop impedance test.
- Thermography test.
- Phase sequence and polarity test.
- Generators inspection:
Verify that the system is installed correctly and in accordance with the design specifications, local & international standard, local authority approval.
Visual inspection of the generators, checking for any physical damages, improper installations, or loose parts.
Verification of the generators’ specifications, such as power rating, fuel type, and capacity.
Testing of the generators’ electrical connections, ensuring that they are secure and tightened correctly.
Verification of the generators’ fuel supply system, including checking the fuel lines, fuel filters, and fuel tanks.
Functional test of the generators’ starting system, including checking the battery, starter motor, and control panel.
Verification of the generators’ exhaust system, including checking the exhaust pipes, mufflers, and ventilation.
Functional test of the generators’ automatic transfer switch, ensuring that it switches between the generator and the main power supply seamlessly.
Verification that the generators meet the local and national safety codes and regulations.
- Power quality analyzer and harmonics test.
- Record all The above test results in a report.
